Islam is actually a very content and happy religion, a lot more so than I find Catholicism (at least that’s imo since I am catholic), so I hope she finds happiness since she’s been so depressed for so long.

What in the hell gives you the authority to quantify and rank religious-based acts of inhumane and unspeakable hypocritical cruelty? How utterly ridiculous and insulting to minimize the lifelong trauma for the countless survivors of sexual and/or physical abuse that the Catholic Church has actively covered up for decades on end to essentially no repercussions whatsoever. And seemingly for the sole purpose of bandwagoning onto the oh-so-trendy wave of Islamophobia.

In fact, I’d argue the Catholics are even more disgustingly hypocritical in their beliefs than, say, a radicalized suicide bomber, because at least the terrorist is 100% transparent about his intentions. These Catholic predators, however, know full well how despicable their pedophilic actions are, and yet not only continue the behavior but go out of their way to protect one another from facing any legal repercussions. 

Also, far more children are victims of sexual abuse than victims of terroristic attacks. So your whole argument is incredibly flawed.

Don't try to defend a religion by putting another down. There is nothing against the LGBT in the new testament of the Bible which we follow today which is the part written after Christ.

My problem with replies like this is that it contributes to the fundamentalist notion that there is only "one" Islam. Educate yourself a bit (not even that much, just read Wiki pages) and you'll realize that Islam is extremely multifaceted, has various traditions within it (like Islamic mysticism which is absolutely non-violent and supportive of cultural and religious exchange), has movements like Islamic feminism in it, etc.

If people in Europe and the U.S. keep contributing to this idea that Islam can't be anything else but violent, that's exactly what Muslims are gonna be picking up. We should be stimulating them to broaden their minds and reinvent Islam for themselves. This is very possible and I feel like this negativity is holding it back, creating a neverending vicious cycle.

Islam is historically credited for improving the conditions for women in that time, and for sustaining a LGBT+ tolerance for centuries throughout the Middle Ages and the early modern period, compared to a Christian West where same-sex behavior was criminally punished.

So this cliché of Islam being anti-woman and anti-gay is a melting pot of colonialist political effects (it was Europeans who pressured Islamic society to reject homosexuality as a lifestyle, look it up, this is actually true) and a lack of knowledge about history and contexts of space and time. Let's not give into that, aren't we supposed to be the culture that's educated and values scientific and historical findings over ideology?

 Oh My Goodness ! You need to come and spend one day in the Middle East and loudly say I'm Gay , You'll be killed and people shouting Allah Akbar in 3 seconds. And it always was like that whether old or new ages.

The Bible has no killing for the infidels or slaughtering tons of animals on feasts, killing gay people and killing anyone who leaves religion just saying.
