Memo 176
Well I agree that it's different if you are only killing it for the fur. But if that b---h is already dead, use that **** up. But if you hadn't killed it it wouldn't be dead () and it species would have survived (in the case of an endangered animal).
HybridWarhol 7
I love how cleverly Gaga worded this. She got her point across that it doesn't really matter if her fur is real. She even added some subtle PETA-shade in there and praised Kim K. That the purpose is for vanity instead of a need. The fashion industry has also been accused of mistreating animals for fur extraction. However, similar accusations have been made against the food industry. I'm not that well informed on either subject, so I can't say any more. Well I get what you're saying, but it's really more of a want than a need imo. Vegetarianism is always an option. I want my hamburger more than I need it lol. So I don't really see the difference between the two uses, but I respect your opinion if you do!!

SEANGT 5,166
Adore this woman. As for animal rights, I'm not here (on earth) to give a **** about animal rights or animal cruelty. Skin up those animals, it'll look fabulous. lol
Iconoclast 2
Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't really get what PETA's about. We're fukcing human beings, we survive off of food chains, so what's the big opposition is with fur? If we're already killing the animal, then why not use the fur? It's killing two birds with one stone. It's the circle of life. When one thing dies, something else lives. I feel like I'm missing something. It is such a complex issue.. I mean is it hypocritical to oppose eating meat while carrying around a leather handbag? Do the animals that die for their fur get used for food anyway? Does the cow that dies for its leather get eaten for its meat? I know 'vegetarians' that cry crocodile tears because someone eats meat in front of them, while they coo over their new leather handbags and shoes. I know 'vegetarians' that claim to not eat meat but eat a tonne of seafood and think nothing of boiling a live crayfish for their dinner. I love animals, but I don't eat red meat because I don't like the taste / texture.. but put a roast chicken in front of me and I will gobble it up! I don't eat seafood because it doesn't sit right with me that fish are baited and taken from their habitat while going about their lives. But why is it any better to eat an animal that was ~bred~ for its meat? Is it better or worse to hunt and kill your own food? What is moral? Is it okay to bread animals for human consumption as long as they are treated humanely? Is there such a thing as an honourable death for an animal? Too many questions. We're all hypocrites
Juanjo 2,046
I absolutely love her response! I would never wear fur, but have, too, worn leather, in one way, or another. She has a very valid and applaudable argument. I love this woman!

Givewaytopeds 25
Sycophants. Do all your opinions about social issues change based on what Lady Gaga says? Bullying - Bad Animal Rights - Who cares Drug Use - Fun If she were anti-d--gs and pro animal rights and started trolling people on the internet, you'd all be worshipping those things. Lum 325
Its her life. I just don't get why people can't just move on...... I don't get the bread bit? Kim Kardashian got "flour bombed" (flour poured on top of her) at a red carpet event by a PETA guy because she wore real fur.
garnite 8
I don't get the bread bit? she's saying that artistic statements are more important than any other kind of statement. Its her life. I just don't get why people can't just move on...... 6,666 posts and clear satanic undertones contained in this post. :( other people don't just see her life when she's wearing a fur coat, they see the stolen life that she's draping around herself. la fama 13
Sycophants. Do all your opinions about social issues change based on what Lady Gaga says? Bullying - Bad Animal Rights - Who cares Drug Use - Fun If she were anti-d--gs and pro animal rights and started trolling people on the internet, you'd all be worshipping those things. Weed isn't any more of a d--g than alcohol is, and tbh, alcohol is probably even worse than weed. If she were anti-weed I'd still support it regardless, but I don't think she supports all d--gs; I think she's smart enough to know the difference between marijuana and let's say heroine for example. There are good d--gs, and there are bad d--gs. A lot of musicians smoke marijuana, and they normally use it to expand their mind for ideas, not just because it's "fun". As for the animal rights... Fur has been used by humans since we've began, and just because it can by replace by faux fur now, doesn't mean it should. Lady gaga is all about born this way, and well, killing animals for food and fur is all apart of the food chain and humans natural position in said chain. I'm not saying I support it or against it, but there are so many humans that don't even have the rights they deserve yet, let's take society advancements one step at a time. Lizzy 0
I personally find this horrible. I can't support someone who sees a carcass as art, meaning that basically she's ok with fur in fashion as long as it looks good. I can respect Gagas opinion but I don't have to like or agree with it. Either Gaga has proven her ignorance, or she has no empathy to non humans - both of which I find awful.
