Farmboy 0
Adore this woman. As for animal rights, I'm not here (on earth) to give a **** about animal rights or animal cruelty. Skin up those animals, it'll look fabulous. lol Let's hope no one ever so blasé about cruelty that others do or have done to you.

Stra 6
FACT: Most people that label themselves vegan are NOT vegan because they are so ignorant to what it means. WHO is the real hypocrite?
HausOfNicole 177
It kills me that people only go crazy when someone wears fur, yet elements like leather (which she's worn serveral times) are ignored. I say if you don't like it, don't fukcing wear it, but don't go judging and bashing people who do, especially if you eat meat because they're just as cruel (if not more) to farm animals. PETA can blow those comments out their ass as far I'm concerned, and by the way before you go crazy over her wearing fur, go take a look in your own closet and think about the little childern who are being slaved out and abused possibly just to make your lovely pair of skinny jeans, or plan white T-shirt. KillerQueen 8
Gaga has answered and even lastly shown regret for hurting some fans feelings. Now let her sit with it, it's obviously a real deal to her that she didn't let go unnoticed, no need to keep this going.

Guille 1,038
Did I miss something? This letter is a response to what? I hope Gaga doesn't support real animals fur and everything... :crossed:
mwjuell91 219
I kind of agree where PETA is coming from. Skinning a rabbit to make a coat is just sad and disturbing IMO. Yes, I eat meat but eating meat is a lot different than skinning an animal alive to make a garment. uHH...PETA called and verified it was rabbit fur why is that different than killing an alive animal to eat it? and see what she did.. fueled a discussion:) great huh? RAMROD 107,553
Too much text. So does she wear real fur or fake one? I have truly always stayed away from skinned fur, especially i have never been able to afford a nice one, but this does not mean my morals are rigid and that I won't bend at the sight of an absolute art piece of a coat. I have no chains about this. You see a carcass, I see a museum pièce de résistance. But I am truly sorry to fans who are upset by this, its a fair and applaudable feeling about the health and safety of animals. I respect your views, please respect mine. Clearly it is implicitly and diplomatically hinted, that it's real fur. She is ready for your stone. Throw it. giskardsb 12,565
It actually took a lot of cajones for Gaga to answer as she did. The politically correct thing in this day is to swear off fur. As usual, Gaga has proven to have her own independent mind, whether people agree with her or not, and she's not afraid to state it. And she's proven that she is also more consistent in her beliefs than many, for example, carnivores who may complain about the fur industry but are eating factory farmed meat sources, which in fact don't treat animals any better than the fur industry. Everybody wants animals treated more humanly, and to not be killed in a way which causes them pain. This doesn't mean you have to completely terminate the use of animal fur however, it just means you have to police the industry. As Gaga states, it's morally ambiguous to complain about the fur industry unless you are ready to swear off the entire use of animals for food and clothing. Otherwise it's just a matter of degree of hypocrisy. I classify PETA as a domestic terrorist organization because of their support for groups such as Earth First and the Animal Liberation Front, but at least they take their beliefs about human use of animals to their logical, if extreme, conclusion. As carnivores, about the best we could hope for is that animals are given free range, not crowded, and then killed humanly, whether they are used for clothing or for food. Otherwise we better prepared to quit all uses of animals, including food, shelter, testing, medical research, zoos, pets, etc. In fact better quit smooshing those annoying cockroaches while you are at it, and swatting mosquitos. And don't breath, you might kill a fruit fly. Not to mention all those pesky bacteria.

HausOfAlex 0
I don't know she says that she sees "art" but if an "art" painting is made of human blood would it still be "art" for her? it's the same with the fur but with animals :( To be honest, yes. I've seen blood paintings. They're quite amazing.
