Blond 5,715
Trump gets the thing done and this comes from a person that supported Hillary. He's getting back jobs and the economy is booming. He also managed to talk with North Korean president ffs and made very profitable trade deals. Some of you need to get realistic My pu$$y tastes like pepsi cola
Queen Bitch 10,513
Well I'm not from America so my opinion probably doesn't matter to you . But as someone else said go out and vote, if you don't vote you're part of the problem, and you honestly shouldn't complain when the one you don't like wins. The same goes for blank votes (if that's a thing in America idk). Blank votes is the same as not voting at all. It doesn't change anything.
Born To Slay 10,996
Just wanna point out that on average the Democrats have an 8.7 point lead on the generic ballot. So we don’t really need to panic. We should take the house fairly easily. Unfortunately, we probs can’t take the senate but oh well.

It hasn't voted republican in a Presidential election since 1988. It went Clinton in 1992, 1996, Al Gore in 2000, John Kerry in 2004, Barack Obama in 2008, 2012, and Hillary Clinton in 2016. Plus that's the governor....liberal Chicago has a grasp on that. Senate seats and House seats are set up in districts throughout the state. It might hold its democrat senate seat, but considering the rest of Illinois outside of Chicago is rural conservatives, the actual Senate seat up for grabs is probably going to stay republican. And the house...well....the only liberal part of Illinois i the Chicagoland region, which is the northeast tip by the lake. The rest of Illinois (90% of it) is vastly republican counties. So...yeah the governor might switch to democrat but that is highly unhelpful in terms of turning the Senate and House more democrat. Just saying. And by the way...Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin have largely began to lean more republican lately. I don't really get why, but those former "blue dog democrats" that were loyal to their unions throughout the rust belt and consistently kept the Great Lakes liberal were turned on by Trump's pro-economic policies. I don't see them switching back to liberal out of nowhere because that area still cares more about the economy than social issues, and whether it was Obama or Trump who made the economy good, those people are just happy that the economy is doing well...so they'll keep the republicans in power. Trust me, I live in the urban county of Montgomery in Ohio where the City of Dayton is. It's got over a million people in it. It isn't hilbillies or super Christians. It's blue collar factory workers that didn't see much prosperity after the recession. It went democrat in every election since 1960 until Trump came along. Ohio went republican in 2014 with Kasich and after that the Dayton area started to see the city begin to revitalize downtown the past four years. So there is this weird old school democrat-turned modern republican vibe here. And that same sort of attitude rings true throughout many midwest cities like Cleveland, Cincinnati, Dayton, Toledo, Akron, Indianapolis, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Madison, Peoria, Springfield, Minneapolis, Des Moines, (all cities with MSAs more than 1 million people) ect... those mid-sized cities become a power force of votes in the election and those people felt very ignored for decades. They are really loyal to Trump now. It's weird around here...almost cultish to be honest.
Whispering 18,865
The Senate was always a long shot. It still looks like Dems will get the House. Unfortunately, this means we could see more ultra conservative Supreme Court Justices. Elections have consequences. Vote!

I don't like Trump as a person, and I certainly don't agree with everything he's done, AND Hillary would no doubt have been way better, but I do like him for the things you mentioned. Especially that North Korea thing as that affects the entire world in a positive way. But as mentioned I'm not from America so people will probably tell me to stay out of discussions about american politics.

Like tearing apart immigrant families, locking children up in camps, attempted multiple times to strip people of their rights, and appointed an alleged rapist into Supreme Court. Also absolutely no one was talking about Trump in this thread, the discussion was on avoiding a Republican majority in the House and Senate. headspin, happiness, DE̤̣A̢̯͔̘T͏͙̗̟̫H̗̙͡ͅ

Republicans are making big gains. It's 2016 all over again.Democrats think they're going to win. And we'll be upstaged by republicans as usual. No, it's not... Dems are going to take the house and not take back the Senate. The senate was never up for grabs, realistically. But 2020 looks really good for taking back the senate. Some of you need to get realistic North Korean “president” Anyway, sure the economy is growing but I don’t think it’s solely because of Trump and his team - which he makes it out to seem. Im more terrified about his view on the media and how it’s all wrong unless in support of him... and ability to lie with no repercussions than a “booming” economy.
