What was the significance of her pouring and drinking before she went on stage? I believe this was because she was new to the industry and saw all of the other performers/band members lighting up and drinking backstage so in a way felt like “oh, this must be what u do”. You can kind of see it in her face
Guest ARTPOPSlays
I wouldn’t change anything about the film, I thought that it was perfect the way it was. I do however think it would’ve been interesting to see Ally find out about what Jack did, and even show his funeral. But not necessary, I just thought it would’ve been interesting

Everything else I liked.. The most uncomfortable for me was when she was rehearsing dancing for the first time. Not bad for an insecure girl that gave up on herself. And I was so invested to the film until that point. Whenever Sam appeared on screen, I was like, this might be a good time to go to the restroom. Of course I didn't. I wished I did though Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊

When the scene where Ally is crying next to Jackson singing in the piano is played after he commits suicide, at first I thought that he had been saved and that Ally was crying because of that but it must've been only me
FadMadonsterStan 578
I wish they added like more audience reaction, like fans on the streets loving ally when she becomes famous and like new reaction of *spoiler* Jackson’s death to show how people don’t care about celebrities until after there dead, although they touched upon it I wished we could’ve seen the fake ness of it Don't go for second best, baby Put your love to the test
Monsterish 5,520
Jack's death should've been more explicit like the rest of the film and they should've added some cut scenes that we saw in the trailers
Panchecco 17,729
The only problem is that in some moments you could feel how long it was. Some scenes are kinda rushed and others drag for too long I also felt a bit disappointed by the ending... I don't think it was as emotional as I expected it (I might change opinion when I watch it again tomorrow) and I loved how they edited Ally's performance with Jackson singing to her at the piano but I felt the very last shot shouldn't have been so quick and completely silent. I think it would have been more affecting if we heard Ally finishing the song and as she watches straight in the camera we heard the applause in the background. Spoiler also I feel bad saying this but some of Ally's outfits were ATROCIOUS (the gold one for the Grammys was probably the worst) and I loved how messy and real Ally's hair was when she was sleeping or rehearsing but the updo she had during the final performance was horrible
