I believe she does have classical training though. Certainly not as much as a professional opera singer, but it's not like she'd be starting from scratch.

Still, she spent 30 years using her chest voice, as a contralto. Even if she trains... I don't see it.

I mean, opera is a very specific discipline, we're talking about stuff like this:

Is not something you can simply do by training a couple months like she did for the Sound Of Music tribute. It takes years, decades, to perfect your technique. And she's 30 already.

I love her passion, I just don't think it's realistic. However... she could play Maria Callas in film, she looks the part, and it'd be great, IMO.

Isn't it kind of snobby for Gaga to say "oh i'm SURE i'll do that someday" as if she is so entitled to anything and everything? It'd be more humbling and better to say "i would love to sing in an opera someday"

She hasn’t got where she is by being humble, she goes and grabs what she wants, that’s her “nerve” she always talks about, she’s not giving room for failure, she wants it and she’ll do it

I mean an album that's not for a movie. It's told from Gaga's perspective, not Ally's. I love ASIB and the soundtrack but I don't classify it as a Lady Gaga album; I classify it as a Jack and Ally album. Does that make sense?

Yeah that makes sense :)

but I was trying to say is that we now got 13 new songs sung by gaga. And more or less every song does have a music video. If you take the scene from the movie.

I didn't want to attack or drag u but I'm a bit annoyed about greedy monsters who want new music every month.

and I'm pretty sure LG6 will come befor Gaga becomes an opera diva :)

It's okay. I don't want to feel like I'm attacking you either. I can perfectly wait for a Gaga album because I know she will be doing things between each album. The monsters that do complain about not having albums every year bother me.

And don't worry, you weren't attacking me:hug:

it's not impossible, she can read music well enough, but lol she barely knows how to use her head voice.

There are many kinds of operas, and opera has evolved

example

still lol, she's far from really understanding how to sing in a theater.

I guarantee i know one american former opera singer that could make Gaga a real opera singer in 6 to 8 months. But not with her teacher lol

And that is precisely why it is not realistic. After 30 years of singing solely with her chest voice, as a contralto, her voice is permanently affected.

There are certain things she simply can't do with her voice at this point. Age does change your voice and limitates your options.

She's in her 30's, I don't think she can train her instrument to become an actual opera singer at this point. Classical singers start their training at very young age for a reason. Still, she could sophisticate her head voice for sure.

I don't see her having a role in a real opera. With training, she might be able to pull off a soft aria, like "Ave Maria", perhaps.

But that's about it, in my opinion. Still, I'd love for her to incorporate more classical elements to her style, specially operatic ones. Would suit her taste for drama, goes well with her personality, I think.

But yes, actual opera is something I do not see for her, but we'll see.

Tbh it's not as complicated as it seems

Ofc, being an opera singer is much more than technique, it's about style and a differnt kind of musicality than american popular music.

She might have heard some arias before but i dont how much ingrained is that kind of musicality in her. Even if she played some sonatas etc, singing is always a bit specific.

Anyway, i say this cause the problems she has are not that serious, it's a matter of isolating the problem, she could by no means sing anywhere else and would need to abstain from clubbing etc. Also change the way she speaks, cause that is not heatlhy

Alexander technique is a great way of freeing yourself from strain, and it would be her best bet cause of her pain. I've only had two lessons months ago and i tell you it's amazing. I suffer from 2 herniated discs and two weeks after thinking about it i clicked and understood how much effort i made in my movemnets.

Ofc the singing changed dramaticaly. But well i'm poor and the fantasy ended there. lol i'm almost back to square one

But with alexander technique, an understanding of how to lean the breath and how mix voice works... after she gets how easy it actually is, it's just working on how to do well.

There are many male singers that sing as baritones cause they just dont get how to sing high, it's simply a different mechanism. And i've witnessed some change in less than an year to great tenors. tbh it's quite similar

that with further solfeggio, proper italian lessons, and speech therapy. An opera star is born and Sondheim would eat dirt
