Taiwan - Traditional Character China - Simplify Character I always admire people who learned even the traditional ones since I feel like I have trouble to remember even the simplified characters and most of the people I come in contact with are from the mainland China so I suffice with the simplified characters, but I'm planning to go to Taiwan next summer for a medical internship and am scared I won't be able to read a thing I'm the bitch that's fragile

Lmao don't be so rude. (this is supposed to be a period, not a comma, as the thought has already eneded and you're starting a new sentence. Otherwise, it is just a long run on sentence, which is a big no no.) I (the i has to be capitalized, whether there is a comma or a period) was trying to teach you, as I like (no d at the end because it is still present tense) being taught (tought is not the correct spelling) when I make (not made) mistakes. For the sake of learning the culture eg I have never seen people doing simplified calligraphy. The traditional characters are evolved from pictograms so if you learned traditional first, you’ll probably find that easier to pick up coz you can easily categorise and hence remember. Still I think once you reach Taipei, you’ll be able to learn that easily. I have used traditional Chinese all my life coz I’m from Hong Kong but I have no problem reading simplified Chinese even I almost don’t see them at all in my daily life. She could have just recorded a video in English with subtitles or with some random woman speaking over her, but she tried speaking the language! When she sings La vie en rose and sings "des yeux qui font baisser les miens" but pronounces it "des yeux qui font baiser les miens" (which turns "eyes that make me lower mine" into "eyes that make mine f*ck"), I just cute-laugh in secret at her trying instead of expressing anger at how she's butchering my language
