An organization called "People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals".

Customers create the market, and celebrities are taste makers.

But if you take the energy used for criticizing celebs, and focus it on the industries/designers that make the fur coats, then they won't even have tastemakers or a market for their product.

Criticizing and attacking one celebrity (especially one that wears fashion considered "crazy" and "weird" by the general public anyway) isn't going to stop the general public from buying fur products.

Very true. I'm a vegan and I dislike PETA and many of their ridiculous campaigns. But what they said about Gaga is true (if she is wearing real fur). Knowing Gaga, I honestly feel it is faux, but its hard to tell. I really wish she would give up real leather too... but Gaga will be Gaga and she loves her leather.

What's the difference from killing animals just for fur or leather and killing animals just for meat?

You don't need meat, and you don't need fur. You can live a long, healthy, happy life without either. Some animals are killed for their meat and for their fur. It all came from our prehistoric ancestors who killed animals so that they can eat, and wore their fur to stay warm. It's contradictory to attack someone because they're wearing leather or fur and then have no problem with people eating meat. Either way, animals are being tortured and killed. You can't just have your cake and eat it too. If you're against animal cruelty, be against animal cruelty all the way.

For you guys attacking Gaga,

Where were you guys when she was wearing leather jackets and a meat dress? Why is everyone okay with her wearing meat and leather, yet you guys lose your **** when she wears fur? Leather, meat, fur, it all comes from a dead animal. Why not use your energy against the people that make the coats and clothing made from animal corpses? Why do people pick on celebrities that wear fur like they're the ones that killed the animal, or like they're the only people that wear fur? There are normal people like you and me that wear leather and fur too, it's not just celebrities. While you're picking on celebrities, designers are killing animals for fur and sewing away.

The difference is that when they kill a cow they do it to get the meat, after they do that they get what is rest, which is the leather. They dont kill cows just to get leather. When it comes to fur, the animal get killed (in the worst possible way) just for their skin, nothing else. So, animals need to die for the vanity of some people who buy and dont find anything wrong with fur.

They attack celebrities because they consume fur. If celebrities didnt purchase any kind of fur the designers wouldnt have to sell it. There's a market out there (people buying fur), if they stop buying the designers are going to stop making it.

I have no respect for people wearing fur. It's a vile industry and shouldn't be promoted in any way, shape or form.

I've done my research and not all fur killings are gruesome like the horror videos we see, some animals are killed in the exact same way that some are killed for their meat (small stun bullet to head which not only kills on impact but also stuns the animal meaning it feels no pain if the bullet does not kill on impact). It all comes down to price, if you buy cheap fur then it's either going to be fake or the animal had no life at all, exactly the same with meat, if you buy it cheap it'll either be a bad cut or the animal had no life.
