I wish I could cut out your brain and stick it in my head. Your posts are always so smart and level headed. I'm jealous.

Unfortunately the majority of people here are doing nothing hes described.

Well, it doesn't so much have an effect on who she is as a person, but it is one manner of reflection of who she is. To wear it or not wear it is a decision she must actively make, and with it comes certain implications. At the very least, it demonstrates either ignorance of the way the fur industry operates or a complicit acceptance of it. Just like my consumption of fast food comes with (an admittedly regrettable) complicit acceptance on my part.

Well obviously.

If people want to create an actual discussion revolving around animal cruelty thats rational than fine.

But, the majority of posts here just seem to me to be overly dramatic bull**** revolving around Gaga's supposed change in character. I just don't see it.

[-] ellen and vegetarians

[-] ethnic minorities

Shes losing idiots that find her wearing an article of clothing offensive enough to stop following her? No loss there.

Idiots? Really? I think it shows more intelligence if one sides with the idea of letting an animal that could positively add to the world live rather than killing it for the sole purpose of something as fickle and unstable as fashion. Don't get me wrong, I am in no way turning in my stan card because of this, and I guess it does look good on her, but why wear the real thing, knowing full well that a living, feeling being had to die - cruelly, I might add - when there's the option of wearing just as good, cruelty-free faux fur? This is all assuming that it's actually real fur she's wearing. I just hope it was and continues to be faux. If it is faux, then this post is totally irrelevant!

:omg: Her response. She really is courting the controversy, how trollish of her I really do hope it's fake though.

Wonder what Ellen thinks about this, I remember her calling out Blake Shelton on twitter over some animal cruelty jokes

Yes, I firmly believe that half of the people here criticizing actually have no idea what they're talking about.

Do I dislike animal cruelty? Yes. But im not going to sit here and denounce her when I just ate a burger 3 hours ago.

To be honest, I happen to think furs are actually quite beautiful.

I think we're all well aware of the stupidity of blind followers within pop fanbases.

something else to think about: when people say "YOU EAT MEAT SO YOU CAN'T COMMENT" or "I EAT MEAT SO I'D BE A HYPOCRITE IF I TRASHED HER FOR THIS"

not necessarily. gaga is a multi millionaire with unlimited resources. she can create whatever life she wants for herself. we are not all this blessed. some of us are still teenagers who conform to what their parents or peers deem acceptable. some of us don't have the resources to make a change. some of us aren't as educated about this topic. :)

You're absolutely right! It's the same for insecure gay kids. The popular pupils should kill them cause they're higher in the food chain, it's just fair

lol, u cant compare humans with emotions and thoughts and agendas with the animal kingdom, which is vicious and they treat each other worse than we humans treat them.
