KillMeSarah 0
This doesn't have anything to do with the topic that I brought up (that you keep avoiding). I'm going to ask you again, if you're not going to discuss the topic I've brought up, and if you're going to constantly insult me by questioning by knowledge about this topic, then please stop commenting on my posts. You can post on this thread and give your opinion without commenting to or about me. I've respected your opinion, yet you constantly insult mine, because you personally don't agree with it. That's very immature, and I'd suggest that you work on that. Anyway, have a nice day!! Ignorance is bliss! I will reply to you after you obtain the necessary info required to support your "points." ;)

HybridWarhol 7
Ignorance is bliss! I will reply to you after you obtain the necessary info required to support your "points." ;) What have I even said that's ignorant in any form? Your comment was unnecessary and disrespectful. Why do you insist on being so immature? Is it that hard to respect someone else's opinion? I've been respectful to you, yet you're still insulting me for no reason other than because you don't agree with my opinion. Everything you've said has been completely irrelevant to the main statement of my original post, which you commented on in the first place. I've told you this multiple times. I've given my opinion and I've given more than enough information to defend my logic. That's all that matters to me. You however haven't even given a shred of information that's relevant to my original post. If you're not going to be open-minded or respectful in the least, then there's no need to even have this discussion. Now this is the final time I'm going to ask you this, because you're derailing the conversation anyway. If you're not going to discuss the points that I've given, and if you're not going to be respectful, then please refrain from commenting on my posts. If you do this one more time I will be forced to report you. I'm done talking to you. You can post on here and give your opinions without being immature and disrespectful. If you haven't noticed there are rules to posting here. Goodbye. :kisses: Edited August 15, 2012 by TheNextOne
Kalameet 4
Okay, I don't know anything about fashion. Just that everything I've read so far tells me high pile fur (fake fur) is used in Hermes fall collection 2012, from where the coat is from? What else could confirm it is fake? Benji 20,113
Why are you making it sound like the animals are having a jolly good life? They're farmed and their fur is harvested. They're living in cages that are too small and many die before they're even harvested. They suffer and there are no excuses for that. Sure, their meat is collected and used as fertilizers and such but I can live without that. "Wild fur" if of course an option and there are people out there that try to make the most of the animals and where the fur is a bi-product of the meat and that is good and all. But the bottom line is that fur isn't NEEDED for survival. It's a fashion statement and not a good one at that. Free range, where animals have enough space to live and are treated a lot better compared to those that are kept in cages. Some animals are treated better and then killed for their fur, it is a lot more rare compared to the food industry but it does happen. If you're happy with not eating meat then good for you, I'll stick to my meat feast pizzas and you can stick to your veg stew :omfgaga:

If you do this one more time I will be forced to report you. I'm done talking to you. You can post on here and give your opinions without being immature and disrespectful. If you haven't noticed there are rules to posting here. Goodbye. Let me remind you that you said "You're forgetting that some animals are killed both for fur and for meat. Not just one or the other. Most of the animals you see being killed for fur, are eaten in many countries and there are a market for them." which I replied "This is also not true. 99% of fur used in the fashion industry is obtained from Chinese fur farms, which exist for the sole purpose of obtaining fur. The rest of the animal is discarded. Please watch The Earthlings." and your next reply implied that you haven't gotten all of the information, and we are not at all on the same page. Since then you have been nothing but rude and judgmental towards me. I haven't done anything wrong and you can't tell me not to reply to you when you are directly replying to me while ignoring my request to seek more information beyond what you claim to know. I simply refuse to argue with someone that doesn't have all the information, nor am I going to spend time typing out a damn novel extensively explaining each issue in detail when you could just watch the video. I will wait for you to watch the documentary I've suggested several times, THEN come back at me with whatever points you have been trying to make, and I will respond. I am interested in seeing how you can justify your logic after seeing all of the ways animals are used in our society beyond fur and meat, because you insist that someone must be against all of them, or for none of them (black or white). In turn, if you have something you'd like me to take a look at which you feel will help your argument, I am all ears. If you don't wanna give me the satisfaction of watching the documentary (which is extremely relevant and informative) or you just worry about learning something unpleasant, that's your choice, and you can just say it. However, your arrogant comments and threatening to report me are uncalled for and unappreciated. Edited August 15, 2012 by KillMeSarah

The only "evidence" is this http://www.fashionologie.com/Hermes-Runway-2012-Fall-22044060?page=0%2C0%2C0#7 because it says "high pile fur" which apparently = fake. However, Hermes apparently often uses real fur, so the jury is still out. I am curious about the pink jacket, tbh, as I hear Armani used real rabbit fur on that and a similar orange one in their new collection.

KillMeSarah 0
nobody like PETA. They complained about a power-up in Super Mario. I mean wat While PETA provides education about Animal Rights to a certain extent, they also do a lot of ridiculous, hypocritical things. They are extremists, which is never a good thing, as it works against the cause they claim to be fighting for. We should feel bad for the animals really, because they cannot choose who is "representing them." =/ Edited August 15, 2012 by KillMeSarah

garnite 8
nobody like PETA. They complained about a power-up in Super Mario. I mean wat as far as i know it was supposed to be humorous, and i think it does no harm to teach children about reality via unreality such as video games. http://features.peta.org/mario-kills-tanooki/ + the game is fun. my best score is 12 seconds. :)

I am curious about the pink jacket, tbh, as I hear Armani used real rabbit fur on that and a similar orange one in their new collection. I have yet to see any evidence of this, some people are saying the opposite. While "fake" is the only definition of high pile fur to be found. Logically I'm not going to defend anyone who wears real fur but I'm no fan of PETA's "shoot first ask questions later" approach. Neither do I believe Gaga would just go out wearing real fur knowing the uproar it would cause in her own fanbase (and she surely saw the reactions on lm.com, at least).
