RAMROD 115,732 Posted September 30, 2018 Share Posted September 30, 2018 20th Century Fox is making a few key changes to its release calendar, including pushing back Alita: Battle Angel and Dark Phoenix,while adding an untitled Deadpool movie to its 2018 slate. The untitled Deadpool movie will open in wide release on Dec. 21 this year. Meanwhile, Robert Rodriguez's Alita will move from Dec. 21 to Feb. 14, 2019. Dark Phoenix, the next X-Men installment, moves from Feb. 14, 2019 to June 7, 2019. The studio has also moved its long-in-development (and directorless) X-Men spinoff, Gambit, from June 7, 2019 to March 13, 2020. Now everything in the trailer should might as well be considered null and void. It's a shame because the X-Men is one of my favorite franchises in comic books, and the Dark Phoenix saga is so amazing and iconic, but this movie is just gonna **** it all up. With the rumors about all the extensive reshoots, the constant delays, and the fact that Disney is gonna buy out Fox anyway, I just don't see why this movie is so persistent on continuing. I think it's not Fox decision anymore but Disney.. probably something was off with what they saw so far..
