Yeah, it's just weird that some fans are getting mad over this criticism. The truth is that a lot of people ESPECIALLY outside of the fanbase don't want to hear crowd noises when they buy a CD or stream it. The excuse of it being a live soundtrack from the film is moot too. Cause the vocals have nothing to do with added crowd sound effects. The music doesn't need a crowd added to have impact when those moments happen like they do in the film and if anything change the experience of hearing the song in an attempt to guide your emotional response. In the film this is good, but when showcasing the music independently it is counter productive.

I just edited my copy of Shallow and replaced the last chorus with the vocals used in the trailer. Tbh it sounds pretty good!

Smh, some of y'all need to get a life. It's sad that we can't just be proud and happy that everyone is loving her again. I've heard the first half of the soundtrack so far and the songs that are "live" sounding totally make sense to have crowd, because they want to make it a story. Having like literal seconds of crowd noise here and there isn't going to make a radio Vito a song if it's good. After seeing the movie too there's literally only about 6 songs that play in full and those will be the ones with really small crowd noises. The vocals on the other tracks to me on those ones still sound like "studio" recorded to sound live. ARUTW once you hear that song in full I promise you, you won't mind a tiny bit of cheering at about 2 points in the track. What does everyone think of the new pop song leaks from Twitter anyway? (it's also crazy to think these would have been live from the get go)

Also, Is That Alright won't be a studio version, it's just played in the credits so no need to set context like with the main ones played in the film, and the cheering from that clip of it is because they play Is That Alright in the credits and then after they play Black Eyes (which starts with cheering - to link into its position in the film) don't worry guys this soundtrack will be amazing. I was NOT ready for Diggin My Grave

Even if the Shallow version we got was made with live takes from the shooting, the vocals have been retouched with Melodyne or something like that... and this is the only thing that's sort of putting me off. I was happy to hear the songs in the movie live, but if the vocals are altered to be right on pitch, there's no point, it's not really live anymore... and just like a lot of people here I was hyped to hear the studio versions, where I wouldn't mind the use of Melodyne or even Autotune at all. But anyway, it doesn't really lower my hype for the movie, I'll go see it tomorrow or later in the week

I was really surprised when I heard Shallow on the soundtrack as the one from the film instead of the studio version. I love it, but for me, it's kind of weird to listen to soundtracks like that. It's like the Moulin Rouge soundtrack where you get to sing along and then talk along with everything- just a lil off lol.
