This year in April my dog unexpectedly passed away (he was 10,5). He was diagnosed with brain cancer, the tumor caused him to have severe seizures that got worse over time. I wasn‘t even at my parents‘ house when he passed, the decision had to be made very quickly since the doctor said „any minute longer for this dog would be absolute cruelty“. I feel your pain, even though my family decided to get a new dog, it‘s weird thinking about how he‘s gone. Seeing his remnants occasionally in our house and it still hurts after 6 months. I used to always call his name out on the phone and ask how he was doing. I couldn‘t call home for months because I couldn‘t bear to hear the silence. It hurts, but... it will get better.
