LGMonster95 13,704
I'm hoping for the soundtrack to debut at #1 but it also wont be a tragedy for me if it doesn't and still open with good numbers. What would bother me is if somehow does really bad (which I really don't see it happen but It's just me thinking of the unexpected)

If the soundtrack goes to #1 it won't be during the first week. Obviously I would LOVE that but I'm keeping my expectations low. 14 minutes ago, Bloody said: Ιm gonna have a meltdown too if Lil Wayne's 2nd week blocks us. It's not acceptable getting blocked by someone with a horrible autotuned atrocious voice like that There's always 2 types of people

There’s a lot of hype for Tha Carter V but he’s not at his peak anymore and he hasn’t jumped on the trap bandwagon, he won’t do more than what Eminem did in his second week with a surprise release (136k) and I guess/hope ASIB will do more SPS. Or maybe it’s just my self-belief because not getting that #1 will cause my biggest meltdown to date after that double JWT cancellation Not that it matters as much for a second week when it's relevant to us, but it looks like he is doing merch/tour pass bundles, so his numbers could be pretty darn high. Plus, with hype and streaming (which didn't count then), I imagine he'll debut with better numbers than he did in 2013. ASIB's got it the following week though. Knock on wood. Arturo 40,746
With Shallow coming this week I wonder which route Gaga’s team will take. The new rules allow for Shallow to be released in the prior eligibility year (2019 Grammys) but still compete in the 2020 Grammys if its not submitted. Maybe they wont take advantage of that rule and just hope for Shallow in 2019 and I Will Never Love Again in 2020? Best Song Written For Visual Media: Updated Guideline Where a track from a visual media work is released in the current eligibility year, while the soundtrack album is not being released until the following eligibility year, the track will be eligible for GRAMMY consideration in the later year so long as it was not submitted in any category in the current year. Andrea B 16,460
I kinda like this strategy, release the lead single this Friday, that will guarantee Gaga's fanbase sales and streams for the first week, and then in the second week, the GP will start buying and streaming shallow. PI didn't have that much promo and we managed a top 15 debut(I know now its different because there are different songs and different numbers charting right now), I think we can make the shallow debut top 20 or top 30, only if the majority of the fanbase supports it

That was my 1st though. They are very confident about the soundtrack and one song is not enough, so they want to give a shot to 2 songs instead of just.
