Liberal, defined, as having very low taxes and attracting many large multinational cooperations form overseas and having no low limits on migration. Thus, Anglo-Canada has higher migration levels as Québec.

Honey, we are getting soon a centre-right government (CAQ) 'cause we are tired of the Liberals (who ruined Québec).

Elections are very soon in October. The Liberals are chosen and currently ruling Québec, but lemme tell ya something, they get nearly all the votes from the entire English-speaking population of Québec (about 90% of Anglos are voting for the Liberals, even if these Anglos are conservative or left) and they get the very large majority vote from the immigrant population, who are often ultra-conservative (like from Asia, etc).  And interestingly and strangely the migrants do not vote for Québec solidaire, even though QS is the dream party of immigrants.

So, in Québec, about 50% of all people who vote for the Liberals, they actually do not have a Liberal attitude, but they vote nevertheless for the liberals because they are pro-Canada and pro-English and pro-immigrants.

I respect if it's 18 or 21.  Whatever....but it's a freakin' plant that has never, on its own, killed anyone or OD'd anyone.

Society is so strange these days.  Pot works on a biological system (endocannabinoid) and affects everyone a bit differently, I'm sure.  But we've gotten so hung up on 'Oh, is it a drug?'   Call it pot or cannabis?  Don't smoke it -- smoke is bad for you.  Medicinal or recreational?  Etc, etc.  Really wish we had a modernized version of the 60s, where some of these drugs could be called whatever and used for various purposes (healing, religious, recreation) without the capitalists, government, moralizing people jumping on top of it.  (I say this having worked at a dispensary and the opening line was always "Welcome to ____, how can I help you experience cannabis today?" )  I mean, that sounds so disingenuous  (though I see the merit for folks who are new to trying the substance).  There's just seemingly no middle ground around social topics these days.  It's okay to get ****ed up on Xanax but god forbid someone is toking up at home or growing their own medicine...social change takes an agonizing amount of time, ya'll!

Wish we could all enjoy what mother earth has given us and disregard what societies have demonized via culture and ignorance.

As a Quebecer I agree with 21- but its also ironic that we have the lowest drinking age at 18 (instead of 19).

I think 3 Provinces had it set at 18 so Quebec is not the only one unless the other two have recently raised it

Of course weed has impacts on general health, but it is more than 150 times safer than alcohol and less addictive than CAFFEINE. The media likes to talk about it like it's the same as crack or heroin and that smoking it will turn you into a vegetable, that it will make you schizophrenic or something (which its not true). It helped me imensely with my anxiety disorder and made me stop taking valium (which is more physically addictive than heroin, you can die from a seizure when you stop taking it. and its legal. for all ages.). People should start seeing pot/marijuana/cannabis better.

Well some studies do point to increased rate of schizophrenia if started at a young age. A few studies don't prove it because a few variables and different factors can skew the results but it hasn't been refuted either
