Lol, it really didn't.

Ugh...it actually did a little bit.

I mean...I do believe ASIB will prove everyone of its great quality after the release:firega:, but this TIFF result truly affects the current buzz a little.

Just go to GoldDerby/AwardWatch or other forums focusing on Oscars/Film discussion.

In brief, the odds and rankings of ASIB didn't stop ascending for the past 3 weeks :giggle::lolly: until today. They are either stagnating or going down now.

Just a fact :sure:

(You do know Twitter or Gagadaily is not the place where the "real" buzz reflects, right?)

Yeah and I think you've reading different things. The buzz is sustained, and people think this is the best outcome as there won't be backlash so soon :hor:

It is also highly complimented by the movie buffs on reddit.

Those who watches it said the film is so much fun, excides good feelings, and with great acting, great script and great leading casts. And it got the biggest standing ovation ever seen at TIFF

And one or two says ASIB had too much marketing for it to be good enough to win.

Roma, If Beale Street Could Talk are the other two movies favored by these people.

I'm sorry, but have you ever followed an Oscar season or an Oscar campaign? Gaga's in a movie, and suddenly everyone here's an expert, lol.

In the last 37 years, only five films that have won this award have gone on to win Best Picture. And "only" 16 have gone on to be nominated. This award doesn't lock in or guarantee anything. Is it a nice thing to win? Sure! But not winning it doesn't really change the landscape.

Last year, "Three Billboard" won this award, and upon its actual release, it became a detested and controversial movie that, what's that, did not win the Best Picture Oscar.

Gaga, Bradley, the film, etc. are all still being named as likely nominees and winners by Gold Derby and everybody else for that matter.

An Oscar campaign is a months-long effort. It changes constantly, the odds fluctuate, people move up and down the rankings, and at the end of the day, the expert rankings aren't even a guarantee of anything. (We all remember who was favored to win the Best Original Song award in 2016 and what happened there...) You can't throw in the towel every time something "bad" happens. It's not like watching the Hot 100 or tracking Joanne's sales or whatever.

So, no, it's not "just a fact."

You're all "you know Twitter and GagaDaily aren't where the real buzz is," yet there you are, having a minor meltdown based on what I would hardly even call a "setback," because that's what happens on Twitter and Gaga Daily every time we think Gaga's "losing."
