It's not a wildly diverse cast, particularly gender-wise, so it could happen, but you would think critics would be eager to point out problems like that considering 3B and LLL stuff went down just 9 months ago. I read a (positive) review by BlackGirlNerds that actually brought up this issue in a fairly critical but ultimately benign way. They saw Dave Chappelle's character and plot device as something akin to the "magical negro" narrative in the third act- however, it was still genuine and warm, and overall arbitrary. And although the film is led by two white leads, the inclusion of Chappelle, Ramos, and Shangela is still super exciting for me, as a Brown man. I actually recommend that everybody read the review (spoilers ahead).
