She's had the massive hits (Super Bass, Starshops, Stupid Ho, Anaconda, Swish Swish, Chan-Li, Fefe), thousands of memorable features that brought many careers to life from the death (Xtina, Madonna, Britney, Mariah)." Also you: "Good, a nice female rapper who would shake things up and allow other women to shine in hip hop again. But kinda the opposite happened. It was just "...ft. Nicki Minaj everywhere". And somehow her ego has been growing through the years, to the point that she thinks of herself as the ONE and the ONLY.". So do you think the features are memorable and brought many careers back to life or do you despise the amount of features she had been in? I don't have anything against her choosing to do all those features. My issue is that she's been taking the scene to herself, and at the moment another female rapper is earning some recognition, she disgustingly starts spreading s*** about them. Something close to today's concept of feminism in a way. There were feuds, for sure. But rappers knew there was place for everyone in the music industry. They supported (and still support) each other. 1 Is "literally firing shots at each other" an accurate definition of "sisterhood" and "support"? She wasn’t receiving all this hate before Cardi, but everyone loves riding d*ck. She’s THE most successful female rapper of all time. I like Cardi but I feel like even if she has longevity she won’t make it as big as Nicki has. Fans are the reason why things get this messy by being too invested in these artists’ personal lives and relationships. They’ve both done/said thing about each other and in the “age of the social” the smallest things get blown up quickly. yeah putting herself first by putting the others down
