So guys, like I told you some days ago, I went to Venice to write a review for the online magazine I write for... and I finally saw A Star Is Born. I obviously can't tell a lot about that but some of you are gonna love it to death. First of all, the whole night was magical. Gaga looked tiny yet stunning in that dress, and looked a little bit nervous too. Like she was feeling out of place, but it's understandable: the Venice Festival is a very chaotic place and the weather didn't help (the whole place had power issues). She kept on repeating the few italian words she knows to tell us she loved us, pretty much what she does at her concerts. So, the movie in my opinion has highs and lows: you know the story, and at times I felt like it was going at a very slow pace. But the music is incredible (although some of the Bradley songs are forgettable, but they may grow on me in time) and you will not be disappointed. Gaga's acting has really improved: that's for sure, she is really good in the role of Ally. Sometimes she makes the "blank face" expression of the Countess but nevermind. She portrays a deep role with authenticity and that will be praised when the movie comes out. Also, Bradley does an excellent job as a newbie director and the cinematography is stunning, with highly saturated shots that really stand out on the plot. I liked the songs and the score but there are a couple ballads that really got me emotional. So guys, just wait: it's worth it.

Was it coherent? Because that was the only gripe I had from my prescreening was it felt a little all over the place and I'm wondering how much they fixed.

What was your favourite song? Any songs that you think could play on radio and be successful?

I'm so excited for October.

I saw it too. It was amazing!

How strict were they with mobile phones? Were people recording? Can we expect more leaks? :trollga:

Out of all the songs to me Shallow has a chance to be a hit.

I saw the security tell a woman to shut her phone down. Idk if someone has been more sly

The plot is overall coherent, I don't know about the prescreening. Some parts felt a little bit dragged for too long but it's also a matter of personal taste.

The duets are stronger than the solos. Shallow is the most radio friendly to me.

What do you think of I'll Never Love Again?

Don't you think maybe they are the same thing? Love and attention?
