Do you have any idea how many local reviews there will be? Reviews that most of us will never read - by Critics no one cares about.... There is already a trend - the critics panning the film just don't want to be bothered with the 4th remake of a show biz love story.....and they make that clear... ...and even those are generally giving Gaga decent notices... This will continue to play out...however - my guess is this is going to be considered a critical hit with huge box office and with a soundtrack of immense proportions......and the American public will embrace Gaga in ways we never thought possible....................... .....................and never ever stand in the way of the American public when they take someone to their hearts... Yes, but for instance, one can say that Gaga's voice is not "warm" enough, and it is an opinion you can share or not, but one can't say she sings out of key, because it is simply not true. but yes, people are free to say whatever they want, and being in the internet era, they sure will. Yes.... Im kind of disappointed in some of the reviews focusing on the fact that it's the fourth version of a movie and not at the quality of the movie as well. The story might be the same but each and single time it was done in a different period of time and each movie brought the current culture in. Why not focus at that rather than the fact that it's been done before. They always tried to make it current and relevant to the period of time when it was made.
