As long as we have a cute trailer and poster that draws people in, nobody is going to check for reviews. I mean sure unless everyone would say it's terrible but if it's rather polarizing nobody cares. Not everyone is going to check 30 movie reviews by acclaimed press members to decide whether to watch a movie or not.
