In my personal experience they aren’t reliable and I’m very much into directing, editing and acting most critics are very bias, also they do grow some type of fascination for certain directors which can harm the way they criticize their work. Every damn superhero movie has a high audience score just because of the CGI and they'll be forgotten in 5 years max (i'm not saying that professional reviews are 100% reliable but certainly more than IMDB/RT Audience scores, which nowadays are vastly influenced by trolling.
