I did end up getting: FIVE shiny Mankey, shiny Bulba, shiny Squirtle, shiny Articuno, a 98% Mewtwo, shiny Drowzee, Seel, and Electabuzz plus other Pokemons that could be useful in the battle league. The shiny rates are pretty high. Maybe you need to update the app or? I mean sometimes it takes me a while to get a shiny (like an hour or so) but then I start getting more and more.
