IF GAYS CAN PLAY STRAIGHTS, STRAIGHTS CAN PLAY GAYS

I completely get it and I do think more LGBT needs to represented in the media - but we do only make up a very small percentage of the population. I’d find it strange to see the majority of roles to go to us.

In theory, I totally don’t mind a straight actor playing a gay character (which is totally different than Cis playing trans) but sadly when you really think about it you see that if gays are not closeted, they do not get roles. And even when they can get one, playing a gay person, they can’t. And that’s unfortunate.

Neil Patrick Harris played Barney Stintson, Barney's character is basically typical one night stand straight douche. Neil is openly gay. And there's so much more.

Neil Patrick Harris came out in 2006, which is a year after HIMYM started.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what orientation you are. If you're a good ACTOR THAT'S ALL THAT SHOULD MATTER.

LITERALLY DOESN'T MATTER! He was still openly gay after the other 10 years of the show's airing.

But he still was openly gay for the majority of it. He could have easily been kicked off - but wasnt :vegas:

Matt Bomer came out in 2012 which is 3 years after white collar started. And as for AHS, it’s a Ryan Murphy show.

And if you don’t portray the character off of stereotypes! I really don’t care if a straight guys plays a gay character as long as he doesn’t rely on stereotypes.
