Queens Metacritic Score Falls as new Critics Weigh In

Two days ago major Stan Twitter accounts were boasting Queens 84 Metacritic score. However, fast forward to today and the score has fallen to 71. As new critics have weighed in, the score has fallen. The LA Times, The gaurdian and Slant have been less enthusiastic about the album (giving it 60s and 50s).

These critics have taken issue with her need to promote herself as the Queen throughout the album. They say that the album shows a lack of confidence. 

The L A Times concludes after listening to the album, that the message of the album unintentionally ends up being Nicki’s fear of eroding.

 

the Gaurdian says that there are many tracks on the album that don’t even live up to the image of being a queen because they aren’t good. They name Nip Tuck, Run and Hide, Thought I Knew You and Bed as a few of those tracks. They say that she takes cheap shots at Cardi.

It's really how it come across. Forced confidence.

There's good songs for sure but overall I had a mixed impression tbh.
