Since all new trade has been frozen already, diplomats sent home, assets being sold, direct flights cancelled and foreign students studying in Canada recalled, the only thing left they can do is cut off Canada's Oil Supply. Next to the US, the Saudis are one of the other major suppliers. Saudi Arabia did not specify what it meant by more action coming but given limited trade between the 2 Nations it is the only major action left. Tho Canada has the world's 3rd largest reserves and is the 4th largest producer, it relies heavily on imports as it does not have infrastructure linking its most populated regions to where the Oil is produced Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm not surprised more like pressed lol The US convinced us to increase our military budget more than we wanted and most missions we get involved in often are international stuff the US drags us into now when we need them for a change given the US has more relations with them not an ounce of help or so much as a word It's ok tho, trade with Saudi Arabia is only 0.4% of trade and like 0.1% of Canada's economy it won't make a big difference The worse that can happen is if they did cut off our Oil Supply We had an opportunity to be self reliant instead of selling our Oil at a discount to the US and paying full price for our imports but of course people fought the pipeline to Eastern Canada as usual saying we don't need it etc Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
