She's being objective even though MIA has bashed her in the past. The video is about the "Women to Drive" movement in Saudi Arabia. Islamists in that country dont give women any rights. It makes sense that Gaga would feel strongly about this video considering what happened to her in Jakarta. And it is a good video. Its entertaining and deals with an important issue. Fey 0 Posted September 6, 2012 Share Posted September 6, 2012 Of course Gaga stans would interpret that Gaga saying MIA should win is Gaga wanting MIA to lose. Gaga does not think like her stans. She talks about love and acceptance and, unlike the majority of her stans, actually believes and follows through her words. She does not hold grudges, especially against things said like 2 years ago. MIA's video is a strong, wonderful video concerning women's rights in the middle east. It's a seldom talked of issue and I really applaud MIA for putting it out (too bad she isn't mainstream though, so it didn't gain the praise that WFL did) Sure MIA shaded Gaga in the past, but that doesn't mean the video doesn't deserve to win. Lots of respect to Gaga after reading these tweets. It's time like this where I have to remember that Gaga isn't like her stans, and is actually a good person.
