I obviously don't agree with this policy either, but those of you who are saying "good riddance" and such are completely overlooking the fact that this is a huge slap in the face for the Turkish LGBT+ community.

Like, I get why it happened, but to see modern Turkey in such a mess, when it descended from one of the most multi-religious, multi-cultural, relatively* tolerant empires in recent history... is a massive shame.  Turkey has such great history and culture, but the intolerance is ridiculous for a European-ish country.   :rip:
