HIMYM Finale *RANT*

So over the past 3 months I’ve been binge watching HIMYM (how I met your mother) and I got really invested in it and I just watched the finale and I’m completely distraught 

Like they spent 9 whole seasons slowly building up the perfect girl who is shown the be amazing in her few scenes for her to be killed off like what the hell 

And even worse they spent all of season 9 on the weekend of the wedding and convincing us Barney & Robin would work to just casually throw out there that they divorced like WHAT

And then Ted runs back to Robin which is just insulting to Tracey who deserved so much better , AND after they convinced us that Ted has let her go

I think it was a very nice twist and a nice finale.. I kinda understood that she was dead through the seasons.. he always talked about her in the past and the focus was always about Ted-Robin relationship..

I understand what you're saying, but I liked the ending. The show was always about Ted and Robin (they push the Ted and Robin narrative all the way till the very last episode), the "Mother" story was merely a framing device. In the end, the show was never about the mother.

I absolutely loved the ending, its always been Robin and Ted, even when she was about to get married to Barney something just didnt click between them, I was happy. In the ending, the kids said its been 6 years since their mom died so they gave Ted theur blessing to be with Robin.

It was a good concept that he was jusing the story to break it to the kids that he was interested in their aunt robin, but it was executed tackily

Also, Tracy was so rushed (even though they waited like 9 seasons lol). Perfect match for you doesn’t mean they’ll be exactly the same as you and like everything you like and stuff

I agree with people here who are saying that the show was about Ted and Robin the whole time. However, there was so much back and forth between them that they lost any chemistry they had. After 9 seasons I completely lost any interest in this couple so it was very implausible for them to get back together. And Barney and Robin are a far better match. But that's just my opinion.

S1-4 were the best. It starts going downhill from season 5 fast. That's why I only rewatch S1-4.
