Nicki Minaj, the American/Trinidadian/Trinitarian rapper (a.k.a The Queen, The Rap Queen, Barbie, Roman Zolanski, Just Call Me Stefani) has had already a fantastic, brilliant and succesful career so far. She's had the massive hits (Super Bass, Starshops, Stupid Ho, Anaconda, Swish Swish, Chan-Li, Fefe), thousands of memorable features that brought many careers to life from the death (Xtina, Madonna, Britney, Mariah). She's the most succesful rapper of ALL TIME, and a significant figure in the pop culture of the last decade.

Among her important records and achievements, Nicki has a videography that is very important and should be awarded for its impact in pop culture and in society in general. Who can forget the sweet but sexy and transgressive video for Super Bass that catapulted the rap star to pop STARDOM? Or who didn't dance to the nutritional and natural/sexy/feminist video of Anaconda? And also, who didn't make a statement to a hater referencing the experimental video for Stupid Ho (at the time that a pressed Lil Kim was shading Nicki for NO REASON AT ALL)? Did I mention the sweet video for Fefe? (featuring spotify icon sx6nin9) a record breaking video as well. 

Given that, Onika Tanya Maraj deserves the next MTV Video Vanguard Award for her important contributions to the music industry, for inventing Feminism, for being a defender of social causes and for being a good role model in the XXI century.
