homomo 23,883
I heard it a lot on the radio here in my conservative province in Canada. I actually remember it doing quite well in North America. Like, no it wasn’t massive; however, it wasn’t a flop either. Think Million Reasons type success. 0110100001100101011011000110110001101111
Ziggy 11,755
Poor TEOG. It tried its hardest, but Judas betrayed it. Tbh the BTW single problem was that all the songs (if you follow the release order) sound totally different so it's hardly an "era". Imagine BTW, TEOG, MTN back to back as singles? That makes SENSE. They are sonically similar enough that they can be associated with Gaga and the single album. but different enough to each stand on their own. Plus, all three retain and push Gaga's typical pop stylings so it's a win win all around. Truly tragic.
Sebastiaan De Graaf 201
Judas had to be released later and The Edge Of Glory needed a better music video. Marry The Night is too intricate for the gp to handel

Miel 15,009
It's funny that, almost a decade later, a lot of my friends who are far from Gaga stans actually enjoy the song. The chorus is so infectious. It got so much backlash, but whew... the impact. 3 points in and ready for more

I feel like it's hard to say because I think a lot of the reason it even debuted at #10 was because it was coming off the major success of BTW. If TEOG or MTN had been released as the second single instead, I can't see Judas having done as well as the third or fourth single. I love Judas, one of my Top 3 Gaga songs, but I think it should've remained a fan favorite and not been a single.
