What scares me the most about this whole story is that someone can throw some allegation in the air, unearth some old tweets and then accuse a guy of pedophilia. 

The worst part is many people wont actually bother researching this story, will just read the headline and conclude: James Gunn is a pedophile.

What's worse is that the entire GOFT cast is also getting labeled as "pedophile apologists" for defending him. I mean, I myself spread the "tea" about him being a pedo, which just shows how influentiable we are nowadays without actually searching further.

Honestly kudos on you for accepting you were wrong. That is the hardest step once you get convinced of something. 

Humans just read headlines which is why news networks have such a big responsibility and they don't always use their power for good.

I mean, tbh I don't have a hard time accepting I was wrong online as much as in person lol.

Honestly, people underestimate the power the media has on us and stuff like this just shows it.

tbh I was one of them when the news broke and screenshots of the tweets were floating around. It was very obvious that the topic of phedophilia was an absolute tabu for Disney for obvious reasons.

But then this whole thing with the alt-rights and conspiracy theories developed more and more and I was like: "what the ****?" This is so crazy that something like this can happen and how easily people get manipulated. I am always here for both sides of the stories and even I was fooled.

This whole situation has something very unsettling imo It's not only about how much less time we spent to questions accusations and read more and get more information first, but also shows how easily we say "Guilty!" in these times lately and how it was perfectly used against people. And don't get me started on the fact that there are people out there, trying to desperately find something that can be used against someone.....

Gurl bring him back for one movie, its the end of the trilogy. Just don't use him for any future movies to not damage your brand Disney and to show you are against his ill stances. It's not fair to all the other people in involved to be hanging or worse have their careers flop due to a poorly handled movie. Yes, there are many great directors but restabilishing chemistry this late in the game will throw all the people involved off and perhaps even the fans when the final product is far from cohesive. Its one of those "Greater Good" situations.

I don't know if bringing him back will end this pr nightmare. I think Disney is gonna cancel Vol. 3, also because they have the Fox characters back now

I can see why Disney fired him, because they are scared of their image getting ruined. But he was already "dragged" for those tweets, and as people said in this thread, some alt-right bitch brought them up again to ruin him

Urgh the cast of this movie is amazing. If I were James, I would be very much touched by this heartfelt message full of love, understanding and support.
