No, Disney's just scared they made a bisexual man, next

But seriously, that could be why this remake is already a mess. Why don't they just let the animated movie be? :toofunny:

It's possible. But I'm not even gonna bother with the live action movie. The more info I hear about it the less excited I get :saladga:

On top of that, the new Aladdin movie sounds like it's gonna be a mess too :saladga:

Disney does not really owned Mulan, unlike its other fairytales, Mulan is a real person with real story.

Disney will not want to make bad image of her, who is seen as one of hero in China and anger them. Especially now that they have 2 parks there. That would be the reason why the live action is different, it will likely closer to the actual story than the fiction that is animated Mulan.

I think it's because they want the liveaction Mulan to be liked more by the Chinese. The original animated film had the Chinese revolt against the film as it was far from what the original tale, which they know.

China is a major movie market and Disney wants their cash. Plain and simple.

As a Hong Konger I disapprove this sentence.

Tbh I think all these live action remakes are useless and JUST to profit off the nostalgia trend that’s been happening these last few years. Like I can see them doing Pixar live action remakes in like 15 years time like a live action The Incredibles or Toy Story etc

Tbh even though I love the original, I’m glad that this one is deviating. It means that there’s a chance it can actually stand on its own as a film instead of being a less good version of the original animated one.
