i don't like Trump anymore than you do, but this is crossing a line... this is a blatant invasion of his privacy and of his private money. if he were to be using federal loans to do things like this then there would be a real problem, but no matter what his actions or beliefs are, we can't stoop to this level in order to expose him for the downright awful president he is. we've gotta do it in a fair and righteous way, or we aren't any better than the people we are threatened by.

Actually, it's a potential campaign finance violation, which is an indictable offense that could lead to impeachment. And it wasn't an invasion of privacy. He's his private counsel. If he believed his client was potentially committing a crime, he had every right to record him, and even if his intent was only to record for minutes/notes, the FBI seized it so it doesn't matter what his intent was.

I can be anything. I'll be your everything.

Haha, well thanks for trusting me. The reason this particular incident is noteworthy, is because that tape may very well confirm the assertion that Trump directed Michael Cohen to mortgage his house to make a hush payment right before the Primaries. If that indeed happened (we know the payment occurred and that Michael used his mortgaging to do it), then that would be a campaign finance violation for trying to silence someone to benefit his campaign. It could also be extortion. The other reason this is important, is that the charges were filed in New York City, not with the federal government. So Trump, if found guilty, cannot actually let himself off the hook with a pardon, because he can only pardon Federal convictions (not State).

In other words: Karen McDougal is much more of a threat to Trump, legally, than Stormy Daniels or Robert Mueller right now.

I can be anything. I'll be your everything.
