Im not anti-Islam, but the religion is avoiding a lot of due criticism as overcompensation for its recent reputation. I think the media blows the issues within the religion way out of proportion, its not right that Muslims are portrayed as dangerous people, as I've said elsewhere in this thread I find Islam and Christianity to be equally harsh on gay people. That might not actually be true though, Christianity might actually be more harsh than Islam.

The issue is many Muslim majority countries are run by old timer extremists who are conducting gross acts like the OP mentioned and avoiding proper attention for it because the internet recently have decided to defend Islam against any type of criticism rather than just the fake stuff the news fearmongers. I wasnt saying Islam is a bad religion, I was saying its managing to avoid due criticism, which it is.

You are right, the Qur'an doesn't really mention much about gay people to be honest, but as we both know there are many different sects of Islam and some do believe that gay people deserve severe punishment. It's not that easy to make a blanket statement on the whole religion because its divided into many differing and confusing parts.

I am disgusted by all of you bashing my religion and my faith. I’m disgusted by all of you generalizing muslims as killers, rapists, hateful people. Didn’t you learn anything from all those homophobes who called you names and hated you just because you were born like that? Why would I? You are equating homosexuality and a religion. No one choses to be gay while you can chose to follow an ideology. Anyway, there is no problem with Muslim who accept a secular society.

I post about all kind of stuff, but see the thing is that you want to prohibit my right to post whatever I want as long as it fits with GGD rules.

It's important that we talk about the things that happen in Indonesia. The gay community is vurnable. You don't want this sufferage of gay community not to be posted, because you fear of the image of an ideology. My question: do you support what happened in Indonesia? If no, then you wouldn't have a problem with thread.
