We've had countless legends who can barely hold a note but they served in other departments. Taylor compensates her lack of vocals with excellent story telling type of lyrics (for the most part) and success. She also knows how to put on a show all within the restraints of her abilities. She's well on her way to becoming a legend eventually. Ppl will remember her. It's impossible they won't. She's been successful for over 12 years lol. There's a generation of ppl who grew up with her music and have followed her. That's how legends are made. They serve longevity, success, consistency and have a large and loyal following. Keith Law Weng Kin 13 Posted July 8, 2018 Share Posted July 8, 2018 gaga stans always said she brings out pop culture... fyi... before her,,, there were a lot of female artists out there already show the world what is pop music - madonna, britney spears etc etc... and gaga just follow the footsteps.. gaga became famous not because of her music but rather her apperance to the world - like weird costumes... and taylor she did so well in country... when she changed to pop, she do even better... even crossed gaga achievement... and yes gaga did sold 1 millions copies in the 1st week but that because got discounted in amazon.. but for taylor 4 consecutive albums, she able to cross millions marks in 1st week (no artists able to accomplish that).. even the whole discrography, taylor's achievements were way more higher than gaga obviously.. since the fame album, gaga popularity keep declining.. so pls dont called gaga a legend when she is not.. and dont come and bash taylor for that... go and buy and support gaga albums/singles instead hiding here to bash other artists. Love it or not, no mainstream girl has that much input in her writing. I also don't get this whole "performing skills", she sings live and pays from her own pocket to create an experience and clearly the ticket sales reflect that. It is one thing not to like the content/context of her songs and her limited vocal range but I swear this site needs to stop lying to itself with the notion that she isn't talented.
