there were a lot of good/great pop albums/eras I don't know how people didn't like that period  

 

Yes - it’s just a normal thing. I mean obviously a lot of people loved it but a lot of people also wished it was the early 2000’s. We just need to appreciate what we have 😀

I was born in 1989, so I lived my teen years in the 2000's and remember them so well. I think there's loads of iconic stuff. It was great listening to the Anne Marie song, 2002, as that was made specifically for someone like me, who was 12 in 2002! I don't think you could incorporate that chorus: "Oops, I got 99 problems, singing bye bye bye, hold up! if you wanna go and take a ride with me, you'd better hit me baby one more time" into many songs from 2010 and onwards that would have the same impact. It would be cool to do this same chorus with songs from every era in history but something tells me that I doubt the songs after 2010 would have that same great nostalgia. Music is now more disposable than ever before. It's like the biggest hit of the year is forgotten about 2 years or so later. Digital downloading and streaming has made music so much more accessible but its also spoiled us rotten. Now there's too much music too consume, too many choices, too many new artists to be distracted by, too easy to move on too quickly.
