Yes, I just think this is ridiculous.. While we slam him for two words sung in a certain way.. We praise our fave for almost ripping of an entire sound for a track.. Now im not Dissing Gaga.. But come on.. we should be hypocrites.

First.. not yo boi.. Second Learn the terms here.. Our fave is just a reference when were talking about Gaga.. Could not care who you favorite artist is.. And the Same has been said about Lady GaGa correct? That she clearly stole Express yourself style and attached it to her song.. Like i said im just not going to drag someone for doing something when i know My favorite artist is probably guilty of the same thing.. Is it possible he was in a mall or at a club, or somewhere random and the song was played? Passively in the back of his head.. We dont know the exact details but yet we crucify? Come on.

The style on how you sing and deliver - Oh why oh why is called topline in songwriting. This is how you put hook on a song and with this issue, it should not be discredited. This could also be a reason as to why, Performing Rights Society did favor Sam.

Boldface 2.) That doesnt matter right now. The Whataboutism doesnt absolve Ed Sheeran of taking the song.

Not a massive fan of Ed, but if the industry is in such a state that a phrase as generic as 'oh why' is deemed as copying, then musical freedom and creativity is really not in a great place is it?

If this was with Gaga, none of you would accept it. The double standard is real.

and i'm the first person to point out when gaga rips someone off (and she definitely has) but those instances are few and far between unlike with sheeran

if anything Sia should have accused him..... SOY is the exact same song as cheap thrills. I can't count the amount of times that SOY has come on at a party and I genuinely thought it was cheap thrills. that being said, I don't think ed copied this guys song, but he did copy sia's.
