Andreu 37,216
From what I've seen most people's opinion is that Michael Jackson's most legendary albums, which are Bad and Thriller and I think that's a fact not something we can argue about, are their best works music-wise. However I disagree and I think that his 90s album are much better for various reasons: Sound: When you hear a song like The Way You Make Me Feel or Billie Jean (Two songs I love) you are absolutely aware they are songs from its time. However I feel like songs like Remember The Time, Stranger in Moscow or many other still sound very current, or at least that's my opinion. That makes it much easier for us to listen to them in 2018. Topics: He started leaning towards more social topics, which sadly are still very current today, such as Climate Change in Earth Song or the things he talks about in the lyrics of The Don't Care About Us. Besides there's the fact I simply like the songs lmao What do you think? Discuss hennies PD: I know a lot of people her don't like him but there's no need to talk about that here thanks
Mirrion Rizzons 11,122
i prefer 90's MJ too, more bops like is it scary, blood on the dancefloor, money, they dont care about us, who is it etc

Monster7 5,697
He was more ambitious in 90s, it's when he became the king, social issues in lyrics, still innovating in music videos 15 years after Thriller, the best tours of the century, innovating the Superbowl show, experimenting with different sounds... Songs like Heal the world, Remember the time, Black or white, Will you be there, They don't care about us, Earth song, Blood on the dance floor are better in my opinion than most of his previous work. Babel 41,495
90s Michael was much more interesting to me than 80s Michael. I still want Gaga to make a song at least similar to Earth Song / They Don't Care about us
Jeroen Bloeming 2,277
MJ is my favorite artist ever. But Bad/Thriller are overrated imo. Dangerous and HIStory are his real masterpieces.
migamiga 12,102
Not necessarily agreeing or disagreeing but maybe his 90s stuff sounds more relevant cause the 90s are trendy at the moment (re: your sound argument). Finesse and RTT sound pretty similar, for example. I definitely do feel that his music in the 90s is very underrated though

AbraChromatica 339
I can’t really decide what album I like the most... but Dangerous has some of my favorite songs and TDCAU is very special to me.
