Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland confirmed that Canada, Mexico and EU are working closely to make cordinated retalitory Tarrifs on the US so as to pressure Trump to back down

She also reiterated that the retaliations goal is to be designed to be merely equivant punishment back to the US...

The Tarrifs will not show weakness by being lower than what Trump targets, but they are not designed to tax harder than Trump decides to tax so as to not escalate. Instead the goal is to keep retalitory Tarrifs equivalent to whatever the US slaps on Canada, Mexico and EU

Well obviously military power can do serious damage

But in modern times there's International Laws, a democracy where ppl hold the Government accountable (at least to a greater extent than before) and Countries work together to Sanction Nations who break the law

Also if u do choose to throw in military, nowadays military is so powerful that even if your way more powerful overall you run the risk of taking extreme damage If someone tries to hit you back and you fail to intercept say a bomb

My point is these days economic pressure tactics are more used than guns. For example Sanctions on Russia over Crimeia and now Sanctions on Iran again

Germany holds huge influence over what happens in Europe not because they threaten the EU with their big military but because they have a large powerful economy

Economic power can be flexed with relative ease... Military in the 21st century not so much so, you have to be prepared to face consequences if you do!

No tarriffs, barriers, restriction?   No reply except from German Auto Makers who would welcome it, and I bet Japanese,Korean and Italian would like the idea of a "free" US consumer market.

like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. My words give a clue, look inside to see whats true
