The Fame Monster was officially released in the US the same day The Monster Ball started (or something like that) so

Yes, The Monster Ball started one week after the album release.

Not credible at all lol. There's the upcoming jazz album for the holidays, the ASIB soundtrack for the movie this year. LG6 isn't coming until mid 2019.

Please be fake
She's smart: why would she release a bunch of new music on opening night: no one will be able to sing along

Also: "an insider"....

The fans don’t have to sing along. It’s actually better if they don’t, bc they can’t sing lol

It wouldn't make sense to me to drop it literally on the first date because if someone was going, wouldn't they want to know what to expect before they go? And it's not gonna benefit ticket sales at all if she drops it right before it starts.

Gaga did t before at the iTunes festival. What’s wrong w a little surprise? Like do you actually look at the set list before a show? That ruins the fun of being shook when you know the song by its first few secs.

Y’all are forgetting the ASIB era. She’s not gonna let music cancel that out. Being a mega actress was her original dream.

ASIB: now - Nov

Residicency + LG6 (which def. wont be promoted if this is true) Nov - 2019

Jazz album: some time in 2019, after the hype of the residency dies down

its how I see it playing out at least

Who said that? December 2018 is confirmed to be when the residency starts. And with ASIB coming out just 2 months prior? There’s no room

That adds up though. An album release in december would mean a lead single by september and a second single by november? I could live with that.

Itunes Festival 2013? I think it's a great idea tbh imagine she's singing one of her old hits and then a new surprise song I would die:giveup:

iTunes Festival was a one-time show, to promote and hype the album. ARTPOP was (tragically) not even done when she did it so it was a purely promotional gig.

The iTunes festival was not supposed to sell tickets, it was free and on invitation only. And no I don't see the set list before a show but at least knowing the album that'll be primarily performed would help me decide whether to go or not. Also, going to a concert where you don't know half of the songs doesn't seem like a lot of fun to me :/

I'm actually up for a whole album cycle with proper promotion instead. Surprise releases can be good for albums sales but disastrous for singles.

Jay-Z and Beyonce dropped Everything is Love all of a sudden in the midst of their On the Run II Tour and look at how it performed commercially. It basically will have no singles apart from Apesh*t, which wasn't really treated as a single as well since it's not even performed at the tour. And the era will be very short-lived.

REALITY

While I do think that she’s going to release something before her residency, it doesn’t make sense to me if she released it the day of. She would have lost some valuable promotional time if she didn’t release it before-hand, plus a December release doesn’t really seem that smart. The radios will be playing Christmas music by then so even if she got her first single before then, her second (and maybe third) wouldn’t fare so well until after the holidays.
