Economy 53,058
https://www.google.ca/amp/s/globalnews.ca/news/4260716/doug-ford-pcs-win-majority-government/amp/ The Progressive Conservatives have won a majority Government in Ontario with the left wing NDP as the main opposition. --------------------- I'm so relieved. While I didn't love any of the 3 main options this election my fear was the NDP Winning because their plans were going to destroy business investment not to mention make driving impossible The PCs have me anxious about a few things too as they have not fully disclosed how they will pay for their tax cuts and that's a concern for me Ideally I wanted the Liberals to win again because as much as I dislike them at least their ideas weren't extreme like the Left and the Right. But since we knew the Liberals would be 3rd place this year I take the Conservatives over Andrea Horwath (I don't like the leader Doug Ford tho)

Economy 53,058
Just now, Gardevoir said: Progressive Conservative aren’t those two words the opposite of each other? Well they are kind of like a less extreme version of the Libertarians in the US They are right-winged economically but not as conservative on social issues as most conservative parties. Hence the name "Progressive" for being more forward thinking but "Conservatives" for maintaining economic conservatism

Also her Carbon Tax plans were totally unreasonable. No middle income family would be able to drive without a huge burden on their shoulders gas would go up to like $1.60 a litre The Liberals were more balanced despite their flaws so I woulda prefered they won but since it was obvious they were gonna loose, I still prefer the PCs over NDP just cuz I feel like NDP would be a total disaster I can see PC doing some harm too tho just not as severe as the NDP This election had no ideal options tbh
