Each episode is set in 2 different timelines: past (with the stories of the fairy tale characters and how it all led to the curse) and present (with the cursed town of Storybrooke and the arrival of Emma, Snow White & Charming's daughter saved by the curse to fulfill a prophecy: she's the Savior and she's the one who's gonna break the curse and bring back all the happy endings).
