I didn't like it either. Despite the compliments, it's clear to me that this person was expecting something different. 

For example, most critics are saying that the strength of the film lies in its first half. This review said the exact opposite.

I'm just trying not to take anything too seriously and draw my own conclusions.

critics say gaga acting is so good, and in this review they did not even mention her acting. they write:

"Some lines sound literally ripped of from a bunch of her famous interview. We think that this choice was made to make Gaga feel closer to her character. But for us Little Monsters, it feels like an never ending way of referencing Gaga’s story. "

This part is relatable for me, I had the same impression watching the movie and it's its main flaw imo

I liked the first half more than the second half (not considering songs) even tho it was kind of slow and discontinuous

So they don't have time to let you digest the character's background story and some of the scenes are happening too fast but the pacing is still too slow?

It's kinda slow at the beginning of their love story, but still jumps from scene to scene abruptly with no strong enough connection to link them together: basically we are saying that is not very cohesive overall.

Maybe the original cut is longer than we thought but they intended to make it shorter? Idk

Many people who attended early screenings last year said that the flow of the film was just wrong and were worried. They clearly faced the problem we are referring to and solved it the best way they could I think, which is not 100% perfect, but still it is not that huge problem that it seemed to be in the first place.
