I think that their approach is to build excitement for the first week to ensure a big #1 debut. Plus, this way, they get all the fans and moviegoers to decide which song is the most universally liked. Then, they can push that song for Oscars, radio, Spotify, etc. If they pick before the public decides, we could have another PI fiasco.

can't wait for the +0.080 updates after they send the most successful song to radios 3 weeks after the movie premiere
