Or better yet, this thursday after Ellen :vegas:

I remember Cher's album was low on preorders then shot up past ASIB after Ellen and stayed above it ever since. The soccer moms don't play around.

Ellen better say “PREORDER THE SOUNDTRACK NOW”

This week's #1 is projected to only do 297 points, that is really low. Even Million Reasons post-SB would have a good shot.

Really hoping we can at least get a Top 10 since the competition is extremely weak (it will only take ~180 points)

okay so can someone contact iTunes canada there's a glitch about ASIB. it's not in the pre-order new music chart by bestseller and its not in the pre-order new music chart by release date. others albums coming out are there, but not ASIB.

I think it's because the album is not available on Apple Music so there's a glitch in the system. the albums that are in the preorder chart are all up for presave on Apple Music (Trench, the 1975, Cher, Treat Myself...), when ASIB isn't.

I feel like Twenty One Pilots will shift more pure sales (all of their fan base will buy the album, they have merch bundles)

But we'll have the edge on TEA/SEA units (there's 34 tracks, all the songs will be new)

I think it will be very close. It all comes down to promo and who has SNL/AMAs. I'm thinking TØP does 140k pure, we do 125k pure, and we both do 170-185k SPS.

did u see my quick scenario thing a few days ago? I got this:

ASIB = 127k / 10k / 40k = 177k
TOP = 140k / 5k/ 32k = 177k

I was playing with numbers individually for pure, TEA, and SEA and didn't want to make them equal but it ended up being equal.

That actually sounds realistic. I can’t see TOP doing 32k SEA though.

Hopefully not. Them selling 50,000 singles the week of release when they already put our FOUR is also a bit of an overestimation on my part.

I'm trying to compare them to other successful rockish/alt 2018 albums.

Youngblood was streamed 34.5 million times for 23,000 SEA. (1500 ratio)

Can't find Panic streaming #'s but he did 151k pure and 180k SPS. Using Kworb he probably sold like 3.5k TEA.
So that's ~25,000 SEA which is about 38 million since this album was released. (1500 ratio)

My 32k SEA was based on 45 million streams for TOP (1385 ratio w/ new rules)

I just checked their Spotify and their most streamed songs per week are Ride and Stressed Out. My Blood is #3 with less than 13 million streams.

#86 album on Apple Music which is pretty horrible for 4 songs.

Kanye went from 208,000 to 74,000 (-65%) in 2nd week. Let's pray he doesn't pull an Eminem and nearly double his last albums opening. Cause THEN we'd be in trouble.

Even if Kanye opens with 250,000 first week, -65% is 87,000.
