Why I have lost respect for Katy Perry (dr luke related)

Plus, Dr Luke is a toxic person. If anything, Katy made a wise decision when she chose not to collab with him for her last record. Not just for her own reputation, but for her own stability.

I didn't like Dark Horse and personally I think Katy's music has taken a decline but this is such a far stretch. We don't know the inner workings of Katy's relationships with people,so it's not at all fair to make such an unfair swift judgment based on one-sided information. Also,discrediting Kesha's abuse is extremely disgusting as well. It's ridiculous to assume nothing happened when she was visibly in tears in court when he was acquitted. He's an evil man and he should have been punished but unfortunately things didn't work out that way.

Sis, we don't know what is happening inside the celebrity's life, as a person, as themselves. Not everything in the world, we know. Sure, maybe she may have avoided or it may have looked like she avoided her, but if we know, she may have supported her, she may have wished her luck or prayed. Also, just because we know Gaga is friends with all of her producers, doesn't mean all artists are too, for example, if that scum of a manager that left Gaga for one hit wonder contributed to her success but Gaga hated him, that may be the same to Perry. I close my case.

LOOOOOL you think that her "help" is equal to Dr. Luke's effort.... it's a whole different world to add some lyrics or to produce a song. The songs became famous because Dr Luke made them. Katy is just the performer...and Katy is not that talented because her voice has been digitally edited...one wouldn't need to do that if a isnger was world-class. Yes, Katy is a great singer, but don't make her greater than she is. It was not her who made her famous. It was Dr Luke. There are millions of US-Americans who can sing well, anyone of them could add some lyrics, and Dr Luke could make any of them world-famous.

We don't know it. But all the stars collaborated with him until Kesha destroyed his reputation, so reputation plays the biggest role.

Aha, that's because she and Britney, when they co-worked with him, called the album collaboration with Dr Luke "amazing" , "a great time", in interviews??

Britney and Katy never made the slightest hint that Dr Luke is bad, they always called him a great and phantastic producer. It's highly unlikely that Katy dislikes Dr Luke.

aha okay, so it is one-sided to think Dr Luke is likely innocent, but it is not one-sided to think that he sohuld have been punished?! Interesting logic...

No, it is not discredting. One of the highest court of America decided that Dr Luke is innocent. It is the duty of thr court to made such a judgement. And the court decided against Kesha's accusations. All the evidence that Kesha provided, were not even evidence accoridng to the court.

im sorry, but as someone who has been sexually abused in the past, this post triggers me so much.

this. this is what dr luke did to kesha. would you think anyone in this world would want to support such a monster, that is dr luke, after hearing about kesha's story?

even if he's made so many bops, that doesn't change the fact that he's done horrible stuff to an innocent woman.

There are tons of good producers out there. She could have made it with or without him. She just happened to have success with him, the same way Gaga had success with RedOne during the first two albums cycles. So no, let's not give the whole credit to the guy.

Britney was going through a difficult mental state when she worked with him. I'm pretty sure it was the label's decision to include him on the album.
