I don’t care where you fall in terms of “gun rights” or the second amendment. This is disgusting on every level.

i saw a few people saying "how is this any worse than the airport level in MW2 and GTA V?" and the biggest difference is: in most video games you're not murdering children (80% of the time it's killing men/monsters/creatures who want to kill you first), the MW2 level has a warning and is skippable and GTA V is a parody of american culture

this really isn't defendable and is in such horrible taste in a really bad time, i don't know what caused somebody to think "hey, lets make a game where you shoot up a school!" but jesus christ :rip:

Pop Music

This is literally one of the worst things america has ever came up with. This is so sad that this is what we call entertainment. I am at a loss for words.

Pop Music and Lady Gaga forever!

Gross but I have a very genuine question here

Why is Yandere Simulator seen as ok when they're both about killing students ? I play it myself yet this game you showed shocked me. I'm just really curious about what's the subconscious factor that makes them different :duck:

Also: context.

In MW2, the entire point of the "No Russian" scene is to ignite the main conflict. The player character is an undercover CIA agent. The CIA's involvement in the incident is what causes Russia to invade the US. Think what you want about appropriateness, but at least it has a sharp narrative purpose.

This... Active Shooter game... the "developers" didn't even develop anything. They bought assets and art from the Unity store and cobbled it all together to stir up controversy for $$$. There's no narrative, or social commentary, or even a point. You just dully walk around an ugly looking world and watch your kid kill count go up. How fun.

exactly, i totally forgot to mention that

i actually didn't clock the relevancy of that level and its impact in the story until last year :selena: and i've played the whole trilogy plenty of times :selena:

Probably because yandere simulator (alongside games like danganronpa) have a sorta foreign feel of them. Like there is a disconnect from reality. You can play them without guilt.

Pacify Him

At least now they can do it in the comfort of their homes not harming anybody than doing it in real life :ohwell:

Yeah that makes sense. But like, not everything is about America. I wonder how they receive Yandere in Japan and how they’d receive the gun shooting game there too
