Rihanna was beaten by Chris Brown and that stirred up the media too. You don't see Rihanna failing in her career because she backs it up with talent. Rihanna puts on a great show and sings live.

Beyonce has been in the business for as long as Britney has, and you don't see Beyonce failing. Again, LIVE performances are meant to be live. You can't lip-sync and expect success. It might have worked in the past when Britney was young but it's not long-lasting.

Stop blaming Justin for everything. Beyonce wrote an entire song to diss Jay-Z for his alleged cheating and yet she was praised. Justin did the exact same thing and now he's blamed? What kind of double standards. It's been so long since Cry Me A River people have long forgotten about that.

And Britney is not pushing Vegas anymore, she is touring worldwide which I'm glad about.

Rihanna almost failed. She recorded a very commercial pop album to save herself (Loud). Beyoncé put an effort to this day, Britney doesn't give a **** anymore. Stop defending that piece of ****. He built his career on the back of Britney ****ing Spears and Janet mother****ing Jackson:

agree. Justin Timberlake has nothing to do with the fall of Britney's career. The career that he destroyed was Janet Jackson's.  About the tour, Brit is touring worldwide to make up for the loss of money that was invested in making Glory I guess.

Britney doesn't care about those things and she doesn't attend most shows like meta gala etc so she distances herself from media and pop culture these days. She's a casual girl and i believe she'd make different and maybe even better music if she was completely free (aka Original doll).

so it was Britney's own choice to not go further.  Beyonce and Madonna worked hard to reach legend status. Brit doesn't make any effort.

Pop music is catchier and has better melodies.

Hip-hop is one of the, if not THE newest, musical genre of its own. It is currently shaping pop music, just like how blues and jazz shaped pop music, like how rock did, and disco and on and on. They aren't separate entities. Many artists blur the lines that most would put between rap and pop.

I really would like to ask someone of the industry these type of questions that we have.We create theories to answer the actual situation of our favorite popstars, but nobody knows for sure what's going on inside there.

I feel like music is mostly a fun hobby for her at this point. She really could have went all out for Glory, but she went minimalistic with her VMA performance, decided not to salvage the LaChapelle video, and didn't press her team to release her album on a slower week so she could go #1.

I also think she's in a bit of a commercial conumdrum because she makes youthful teen pop, but the teen pop audience doesn't follow her like that. She could definitely pique people's interest if she talked about her personal life in her music, and it would make her music deeper and more mature, but Britney obviously doesn't want to discuss it. I think she's like Kylie Minogue in that she sees music as an escape.

Her peer, Beyonce, is just a different case - she has a lot of drive, her sound is in style right now, she's known as a must-see live act, and she's one half of a celebrity power couple. Plus she hasn't had the tumultuous experiences that Britney has had in regards to the media & public.

Loud is a huge success though, both critically and commercially. So that's hardly a failure.

You're just pressed Justin is one of the most successful artists in the business. He HAS talent to back it up. One song can't launch you to stardom. You need a solid discography for that.

What I mean is that she almost failed with Rated R. She was bankrupt. Loud saved her career. I'm not pressed at all. Read that ****ing thread. All facts. And Justin is a complete flop nowadays. Ahh the karma. There's also nothing solid about his discography. He also built his career on the back of Timbaland's sound.
