Squeeshy Keety 9,908 Posted May 23, 2018 Share Posted May 23, 2018 PSA: I am in no way delusional and don't believe there's even a chance of the following events coming true ---------------------------------------- Now, seeing Netflix push Five Foot Two for the Emmy's has gotten me thinking, and for some reason LG6 entered my thought process. Idk, just go with it! What if, when Gaga releases LG6 somewhere between three months or the more likely three years, she releases a visual film like Lemonade or Dirty Computer to accompany it on Netflix? She already has an in on the service, and they love her/recognize her success on the platform by pushing for FF2 to win. In order to fit on Netflix, I would expect it to be more narrative driven, so it could be a bit longer and possibly in the format of a musical if she so chose idfk Why I think this is a good idea: - Gaga's streaming is not as strong as her contemporaries because it is dominated by youths, of which she has fewer fans - Gaga has a strong older audience who uses Netflix more than media like YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, etc. Time for the Baby Boomers to do something right for society for once - Uploading this film to Netflix as an Original would grant it a banner and extra publicity as the first of its kind. The older crowd would be more likely to watch it this way so she could take advantage of this disproportionate consideration of streaming in the music industry. And she wouldn't even have to buy fake streams off of Tidal! Why this is not going to happen in the slightest: - She would have to be very involved in the film in order to create it and be passionate about it, and she hasn't expressed interest in creating a complete visual album in the near past - This is Gaga we're talking about. She doesn't care about snatching those numbers and charts (tbh I'm not at all either, but I like thought experiments) - I doubt I'm going to see LG6 this year and can only pray for an early release 2019 if I'm lucky - I haven't expected a visual film since her plans for ARTPOP were foiled - I don't deserve nice things Even still.
